Dear best friend: Thank you for being in my life

I met my best friend during my first year at college. Her name is Dina, she's beyond beautiful and she has the most loveable personality.

I couldn't believe that she actually wanted to talk to me or to be my friend, she is very popular, everyone loves her and I was very excited that she was talking to me.

Dina is very compassionate, I needed help with something when we first met and she didn't hesitate for a second.

I felt that she was going to be a big part of my life. I was right.

I'm very shy when you first met me, but I was part of an amazing group of friends.

During the first couple of years, Dina and I weren't very close because we were in different groups and we had different activities.

Then we both got into different sections but we still remained in touch even when we didn't study together or had many friends in common. There was a bond. We always cared about each other even when we were meeting by coincidence.

I had a best friend during the first couple of years called Amal but our friendship faded when she got into a different section, then I had another best friend for the second year called Noha, our friendship lasted for a while after college but she got married and we lost touch.

My friendship with Dina actually got stronger after we graduated, even when we worked in different fields but we talked every day about everything.

We got to know everything about each other, our families, our heartbreaks, our goals, and she basically became a sister to me.

I don't have a sister, I have four half brothers. I have always wanted a sister and Dina was the answer to my prayers.

I can tell her anything without feeling ashamed or judged. She actually listens and gives me unconditional love and support.

Dina always sees the best in me, she is very forgiving and understanding.

She encourages me and motivates me to study new fields that could improve my career, learn new languages, read, and be active.

Dina always advises me on how to take care of myself mentally and physically.

She stood by me when everything seemed to be falling apart, she has never left when I wasn't the best to deal with. I'm thankful for her.

Appreciate your friends, love them, and be thankful for them. Give them support.
