This session is one of my favorite yoga sessions ever. I loved every moment, how Adriene sang to Benji at the beginning of the video and how he sat on her legs at the end of the video, such a lovely moment, that I had to rewatch it after I finished the session.
Today's session is titled (Love) and it's a reminder that if we don't feel love for ourselves we won't be able to give love to others.
This yoga practice is filled with restorative poses that provide love and care to the entire body, I'm excited that I managed to do all of them and that downward facing dog is finally a resting pose for me.
When I take care of myself, when I practice daily yoga, when I'm feeling strong and confident, I find myself being able to be more generous, more loving, and more compassionate.
How you feel about yourself affects how you feel about others, how you treat yourself impacts how you treat others.
When my heart was broken, I felt that I wasn't myself, I was a sad, unloving, disconnected version of myself.
Now when I'm very close to healing, I find that I'm returning to my old self but with improvements, I'm stronger mentally and physically.
Adriene wrote (Fall in love with the sound of your breath. This is sacred space that we have been cultivating here. And today, I boldly invite us to acknowledge that.)
Remember to (breathe lots of Love in and breathe lots of Love out) fall in love with yourself, with your breathing and all your details so you can treat others with love.
