I didn't sleep well yesterday, I went to bed really late and woke up early to finish some work and run a few errands. When I came back home, I was determined to do today's yoga session, and to continue this 30 days yoga journey with Adriene, the most amazing yoga teacher.
I opened the daily email that I get from Adriene as I signed for (BREATH), she wrote ( Listen to the feedback that every gesture gives back to you. Rather than just doing the poses, or doing yoga, trust that practice really is an art of listening. )
When I listened, my body wanted to tell me a lot of things:
1-my core muscles aren't strong, that's why they were screaming during the bridge pose.
2-I really loved the variation of the cross legged pose, I enjoyed the stretch in the back of my neck, so I need to focus more on my neck, shoulders and back.
3-I discovered that my right side is weaker than my left side so I need to work on that.
4-I'm grateful for my body, my mind, and my spirit for supporting me during this journey and life in general, I will try to nourish them as much as possible.
My advice to you is to take time for yourself, do yoga, enjoy some sunshine, or just dance in your living room! Be happy!
