Simple shower trick that is improving my hair

I noticed that my hair's appearance is not that great during winter, so after doing some research, posting questions on Facebook groups and talking with my friends, I made a conclusion.


I discovered that my overly hot shower was damaging my hair health and quality, so for the past couple of weeks, I started lowering my water temperature during showers.

It wasn't an easy thing for me, I'm obsessed with hot showers, but I don't want this habit to affect my hair or even my skin.

Excessive heat is an enemy to the hair, not only in styling but also in showering, I was staying away from styling my hair with heat and spending hours searching for tips and tricks for heatless hairstyles, while I was causing enough damage with my hot showers.


The hot water can strip the hair from its natural oils and it's not good for the scalp because it might cause dandruff, also high temperature isn't good for hair follicles.


For the past couple of weeks, my hair's health and appearance improved a lot after showering with warm water instead of hot, so my advice to you is to stop treating your hair harshly with hot water, lower the water temperature a bit and notice the difference.
