I'm trying to commit to daily yoga and it does wonders for my body and mind. I'm noticing major changes in my health and my mindset. How I feel when I arrive on the mat is different from how I feel when I finish any yoga session.
I still struggle with stress and anxiety, but their impact is reduced and I'm becoming stronger, the more I value myself, the more I feel blessed and grateful to be alive.
Don't treat yourself harshly, nurture your spirit and your body, start with baby steps, remember it's not selfish to do that, it's actually something necessary to be able to be a giver, you can't give if your vessel is empty.
Today's yoga session with Adriene is titled Wind Down Yoga, it's the perfect yoga practice to unbutton and take it easy.
You can do this yoga session after a long day at work or when you're holding onto things that no longer serve you and you need to get rid of them.
One of my cats stayed by my side during this yoga session just like Benji (Adriene's dog).
Adriene always motivates us to focus on the sensation, not the yoga shape, and this is one of the multiple reasons why I love practicing yoga with her, she encourages everyone who does yoga to "find what feels good".
If you see this post, please consider it as a sign that it's time for you to be treated with care, do yoga, ground yourself and repeat positive affirmations!
