The worst type of unrequited love

Unrequited love or one-sided love is when you love someone and they don't feel the same about you, and it hurts, also it takes a long time to recover, especially if you didn't get the proper closure.

This kind of love could happen between friends or towards someone who doesn't really know you (like a crush) or the worst type of unrequited love, which happens when you're with them (in a relationship/dating or whatever the term that is used these days)

The worst type of unrequited love is when you're with someone who doesn't love you back and they are only with you because they're sure you love them, they enjoy how much you love them and how much you try to win their affection satisfies their egos, this situation could lead to the most awful heartache.

You'll find yourself doing everything possible to gain their affection, you might build your self-worth based on how they treat you, and you'll find yourself emotionally drained all the time.

If you're with someone who doesn't love you and doesn't value your presence in their lives while you go above and beyond to ensure their happiness, then you're in a traumatizing experience.

Don't expect them to say "I don't love you" but expect other red flags that include never texting or calling you first, never remembering details about you, they're not excited about you and they don't support you.

When your existence in their lives isn't appreciated then you should leave, they won't see how amazing you are no matter how much you try.

Put yourself first, love yourself more, delete their texts and remove them from your life to start the healing process.

Don't make excuses for them, especially if they go no contact for months and suddenly contact you as if nothing happened.

Don't satisfy their egos, don't be manipulated.

Trust your intuition if you feel something isn't right.

You did nothing wrong, don't blame yourself, and don't expect anything more from this person.

Realize you're stronger than you imagine and lovable even when they don't love you back. You'll get through this. I will get through this.

Stay loving and caring. Someone amazing will love you and treat you better than your wildest dreams. 

Never love yourself less based on how someone else feels about you.
