Watching cat videos has been proven to boost levels of happiness, and I believe that movies about cats do the same thing.
"The Island of Cats" is one of the best movies that I have ever watched. I was searching for a movie that uplifts me and brings me positive energy, but I didn't want a mainstream/box office movie.
When I found this movie, I felt so positive about it, and it was the first time that I watched a Japanese movie, I really enjoyed it.
The film's director, Mitsuaki Iwago, was a wildlife photographer, and this fact was evident in many scenes, where it feels like I'm watching a documentary.
This amazing movie shows the incredible bond between people and cats, it captures the beauty of these lovely animals and proves their importance in our lives.
The Island of Cats exhibits the charm of living in forgotten places, outside the big city, places where young people usually want to leave.
This movie promotes feelings of warmth and comfort as it takes us on a journey in the life of Daikichi and his adorable cat Tama.
Everything in this movie is worth watching, the story is moving (it's not just a cat movie) as it shows us how to enjoy the simple things in life (even cooking), the profound meaning of love, friendships, and the value of our home/roots.
I won't spoil the movie, however, I recommend that you watch it (especially if you love cats).
Please support my blog by sharing it on social media and with your friends.
