Second week of my month long of daily Yoga challenge

I started this year planning to practice Yoga regularly, as it helps my mind and body. This is the second week of my Yoga month-long challenge, which is doing Yoga every day for January. I'm following the series with "Yoga with Uliana" Please join me on this journey, you can read about my first week if you click here.


My hope is that my yoga journey serves as a source of motivation and encouragement for those who aspire to begin their own yoga journey.

Day eight:




It's the first day of the second week of my Yoga challenge, and the class is titled Day 8 REST & RESTORE - 15 min Yin Yoga Without Props | 30 Day x 15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.

This Yoga session is super gentle and can be done to unwind after a long day or to release tension and relax before bed.


Today's Yoga practice allows your body and mind to rest and restore their energy.

It's a form of Yin yoga, which is a slow, passive style of yoga where poses are held for a more extended period according to Uliana.

This Yoga video is very soothing and has restorative results that you can feel immediately.


Day nine:




The ninth day of this Yoga series is titled Day 9 ESSENTIAL flexibility - 15 min Full Body Yoga Stretch | 30 Day x15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.



I will repeat this Yoga session after completing this challenge as I believe it will increase my flexibility in a gentle and effective way.

This Yoga class is focused on flexibility and Uliana wrote that "flexibility is important for overall physical health and wellness".

Poses in this Yoga practice are designed to increase the range of motion.

Ankle stretches were a challenge for me, but I really enjoyed the upper body stretches.

Day ten:





Today's Yoga class is a grounding practice that focuses on improving balance and finding mental clarity.

This session is titled Day 10 CENTER - 15 min Yoga For Mind & Body Balance | 30 Day x 15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.


The class starts with a 10-minute standing yoga pose sequence to warm up the body then 5-minute box breathing exercise.

Whenever I'm feeling stressed, I will return to this Yoga practice.

Day eleven:




Today's Yoga class is titled Day 11 STRENGTH - 15 min Full Body Yoga Flow | 30 Day x 15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.

It's a strengthening Yoga practice that focuses on increasing strength and stability.



This Yoga session has a variety of standing, balancing, and core-strengthening poses.

Some of the poses are back-strengthening exercises to help improve posture and support the spine.

If you're looking to build strength and endurance then this video is for you.

Uliana advises us to modify the poses as needed.

I enjoyed the chair, high lunge, and warrior poses but the side plank was challenging for me.


Day twelve:




I enjoyed this Yoga session and it is what I needed today as it's seated practice and I had no energy for standing poses, so it came at the right time.

This Yoga class is titled Day 12 SEATED Yoga Stretch - Full Body Stretch Without Mat | 30 Day x 15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.

It's one of my favorite sessions in this challenge, I was stressed when I started this class but this quickly changed.


Uliana described this Yoga video as "a simple and gentle practice that you can do without a yoga mat - great when you are traveling without a yoga mat or just lazy to roll out your mat".

This is a great lower-body stretch and this session will help in increasing flexibility in this area.

Day Thirteen:



Lucky number 13 :) today's Yoga session is designed to let us fully immerse in the present moment, and find a sense of calm and relaxation while strengthening and stretching the entire body by moving slowly and in sync with the breath.

This Yoga video is titled Day 13 FEEL GOOD - 15 min Full Body Yoga Flow | 30 Day x 15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.


I loved the different warrior pose variations in this yoga class, and the transition from the side angle to the reversed warrior was so energizing.

Day Fourteen:




Today marks the end of the second week of my month-long daily Yoga challenge.

This Yoga session is titled Day 14 CHILL - 15 min Yin Yoga For Hips And Lower Back | 30 Day x 15 minute Everyday Yoga Series.


Uliana designed a slow and gentle yin yoga session to commemorate this achievement.

The class focuses on the hips and lower back to simply relax and let go of tension and stress in the body and mind.

To modify some of the poses, you can have a folded blanket or towel handy to support your body.

How to commit to daily Yoga practice? Write it down on a note and place it somewhere visible such as on your bedroom door or bathroom mirror. This will serve as a reminder of your commitment and will help keep you motivated throughout the day. Or set a reminder on your phone.
