Easy methods I use to regulate my nervous system

If you're someone like me who struggles every day with anxiety, you know how difficult it can be to regulate your nervous system. When your nervous system is in overdrive, it can feel like your whole world is spinning out of control.  You might feel like you can't catch your breath, your heart might beat faster than usual, sweating more than normal, and even find it difficult to speak.

But there are things I do to help regulate my nervous system and bring some calm back into your life, and I hope you'll find them helpful.

-Practicing some form of relaxation or stress-reduction technique regularly. This could be something as simple as a short meditation session or deep breathing exercises.

-limiting caffeine to one cup of coffee or tea per day.

-Exercise is also great as it helps in releasing endorphin, which have mood-boosting properties. It can also be a great way to distract yourself from anxious thoughts and give your nervous system a chance to be regulated. Just make sure that you're not overexercising, as it can actually be stressful and make anxiety worse.

-Music, I have a playlist of soothing music/songs that helps in making me feel at ease.

-Finally, make sure you're getting enough sleep, so aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. If you have trouble sleeping, there are some natural remedies you can try, such as drinking chamomile tea before bed or using a diffuser with lavender oil in your bedroom.

By following these tips, they can help to regulate your nervous system and bring some calm back into your life.
