Yoga has been an incredible source of support and personal growth in my life. Witnessing the profound benefits it has brought me, I am deeply motivated to inspire others to embark on their own yoga journey. I firmly believe that yoga has the potential to positively impact everyone, which is why I am dedicated to encouraging its practice.
I came across an exciting month-long yoga challenge that has captured my attention. With great enthusiasm, I have made a personal commitment to embrace this challenge, and I extend an open invitation for you to join me on this transformative journey.
This is the third week of the yoga challenge that is titled "FLEXIBLE BODY, FLEXIBLE MIND" with Kassandra. It will be divided into two sections: flexibility for the body and flexibility for the mind.
DAY 16: SPACE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga class has a pose that I have never tried before and that's half saddle, it's really good for the quad muscles
The are other poses that include gate pose, side low lunge and thread the needle.
This yoga session is really refreshing and I will go back to it outside this challenge.
The one-word intention of this practice is: SPACE
I can't wait to do this exercise later tonight.
DAY 17: CENTER - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga session is amazing. I love it and I will repeat it regularly.
It starts with ragdoll and it includes other poses like lizard pose, tiger cat/cow and half splits.
This yoga class is wonderful for the lower body.
DAY 18: DISCOVER - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga class is a slow-flow session and most of the poses are done lying down.
The practice includes poses like reclined pigeon, IT band stretch, half happy baby and side sphinx.
This session focuses the most on the hips and lower body, which feels awesome to release any stored tension in this area.
DAY 19: COMPASSION - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
It's day 19 and I'm feeling super tired because I haven't slept well last night, but this yoga session gave me the boost that I need.
The poses include cat-cow, Warrior One, side low lunge and child's pose.
This class focuses on the lower body and Kassandra recommends that we use compassion with ourselves while transitioning from pose to pose.
DAY 20: ACKNOWLEDGE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
It's day 20 :)) It's a big milestone!
Today's yoga is done seated and it starts with Turtle pose that I haven't done before.
Other poses include deer, seated twist and half shoelace.
I appreciate how Kassandra was open about finding one pose difficult for her. That reassured me that it's okay to struggle with poses. But we shouldn't pressure our bodies just know when to avoid a pose and when we work on it.
DAY 21: CURIOSITY - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga session starts with variations of thread the needle.
This class also includes variations of warrior three and seated neck release.
Neck stretches felt really awesome and I needed them.
DAY 22: ATTUNE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga class starts with circular cat/cow it's so fun and I love this pose.
Other poses include exalted warrior and pigeon pose.
This session has more standing poses than the previous videos, it also has more flow in transitions between poses.
Reminders during this yoga challenge
Be patient with yourself.
Stay consistent.
The beauty of yoga lies in its universal appeal. It is a practice that can be embraced by individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practice, this challenge provides a welcoming space for growth and exploration.
