Flexible body flexible mind: week 4 of a yoga challenge

This is the last week of "FLEXIBLE BODY, FLEXIBLE MIND" yoga challenge with Kassandra and I'm really grateful for this journey and everything that it taught me.

This challenge is designed to improve the flexibility of your body and mind. It's suitable for all levels. No props are needed, and the classes are only 10 minutes long and it's completely free!

Remember, practice yoga at your own pace, so don't worry if you can't do the poses perfectly. Just keep showing up and take this time for yourself.

One of the remarkable aspects of this challenge is its accessibility to individuals of all skill levels. Regardless of whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, you can join in.

DAY 23: REFRAME - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

Today's yoga class is focused on building strength and flexibility in the body. We start with a ragdoll pose to release any tension in the neck, shoulders, and back.

During the class, we will be guided through various poses such as chair pose, extended side angle, and sphinx pose.

These poses are perfect for improving your balance, building strength in your legs, and opening up your hips and chest.

I personally love this session as it's very energizing and it helps with sore muscles.

The combination of stretching and strengthening really gets the blood and energy flowing.

DAY 24: CLARITY - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

Today's yoga class is super soothing and all poses are done while lying on our backs.

The poses include half happy baby, banana pose, and reclined twist.

Half happy baby helps to stretch the hips and hamstrings while releasing tension in the lower back.

The banana pose is great for stretching the side body and improving digestion.

Reclined twist releases any tension in the spine. Try to keep your shoulders and upper back on the mat while doing this pose

This yoga session is really good for the spine.

Remember to always listen to your body and modify the poses as needed.

Allow yourself to fully relax into each pose and enjoy the soothing benefits of this gentle yoga practice.

DAY 25: CONNECT - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

Today's yoga class is designed to help you stretch your entire body.

This session begins with a variation of a cat-cow pose, which is a gentle warm-up to awaken the spine.

From there, Kassandra guides us into thread the needle, a pose that targets the shoulders, upper back, and neck.

Next, humble warrior, which can be intense. Also, we have a low lunge quad stretch, which relieves tightness in the legs.

DAY 26: FREEDOM - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

Today's yoga class starts with a seated side bend, it also has other poses that include knee to chest, standing pigeon, and warrior 3 variation.

I lost my balance a couple of times and it's totally normal for this to happen. If this happens to you don't be discouraged.

This yoga session challenged me both physically and mentally but I feel more centered after this class, and I look forward to repeating it to improve my balance.

DAY 27: SOOTHE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

I can't believe we're already on day 27 of this incredible journey!

Today's session starts with a seated neck release pose, which was very needed for me.

The class includes other poses like cow-faced and wide-legged forward fold.

The cow-faced pose is actually an amazing pose to release any stiffness in the hips. It's one of my favorite poses in yoga.

DAY 28: CLEANSE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

Today's fiery yoga session has a series of poses that focus on building strength and enhancing flexibility.

Beginning with the grounding child's pose, then half splits, which help in improving range of motion.

The standing wide-legged forward fold allowed me to release tension in my back and shoulders, while the butterfly pose was really good for my hips.

DAY 29: FEEL - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

Today's yoga class targets the lower body with poses like reclined butterfly, bridge pose, cat pulling its tail and seated pigeon.

If you're feeling any stiffness and need a yoga session to release the tension from this area of your body then you'll love this video.

DAY 30: INTEGRATE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge

It's the last day of this amazing yoga journey, I really enjoyed participating in this challenge and I hope you enjoyed reading about it (and maybe start doing yoga too).

Today's yoga session includes poses like ragdoll, goddess pose, reverse warrior, and triangle pose.

This session is mostly done standing except for the last part of it, so it's very refreshing.

Conclusion:

I'm grateful for all the things that I learned about myself in this yoga journey. It was challenging many times but that's how I improve myself.
