I'm currently participating in a yoga challenge to enhance flexibility, both physically and mentally. Today's challenge is based on the one-word intention: FEEL.
The yoga teacher says "I want you to focus on self-care. Embody feeling through a simple wellness ritual that can incorporate the 5 senses. It can be whatever you like, my personal favorite is a long bath but it can be something totally different for you. Do something for yourself and really show yourself gratitude for making it this far on our journey!"
I had a tough day and I needed this challenge to motivate me not to skip my self-care. The issue is that if I skip self-care one day it will start a cycle of self-neglect.
So I pushed myself and did my simple wellness/self-care routine.
-I took a nap (to reset my energy).
-I oiled my hair using coconut and sesame oil (which smelled very good).
-I took a long shower.
-I used my favorite hair and skin care products.
-I journaled my day.
-I listened to 528 hz music.
-I did yoga.
-I set a new intention to help my self-growth (I won't share it, super personal).
Starting my self-care routine today was difficult but got easier slowly.
I hope this post motivates you to do something yourself today.
Self-care doesn't have to be complicated. It's a way to prove that you have time and energy for yourself.
Don't hesitate to email me and please share this post.
