Creating a Positive Online Presence: How I Started Expressing Myself

I wasn't comfortable expressing myself due to fear of being seen and the need to blend in, but I decided to change that about myself. I felt like I was hiding myself and afraid to be vulnerable, I allowed the fear of judgment to hold me back from fully embracing my authentic self.

I finally let go of my fears and became more open and talkative online. It feels so good to break free from self-doubts and live my life unapologetically.

When I wasn't afraid of being myself, I got an autograph from Ewan Mitchell and that was one of the best things that happened to me. So I took this newly-found courage and brought it to Twitter and I'm having so much fun. By sharing jokes and things that excite me, I have discovered a sense of freedom and connection.

I have a blog where I share parts of my life with my readers, but tweeting about music, animals, and joking online feels so much different.

I used to bottle up my opinions and that didn't gain me anything and caused me to feel small and weak. One of the biggest obstacles that held me back was the fear of what others might think about me and that was feeding my insecurities.

Social media can be a breeding ground for judgment and criticism, but it's also a place where I can find people with similar interests.

Now that I'm embracing my quirks and passions, I'm experiencing personal growth that extends beyond the digital world.

I'm taking small steps but I'm proud of my process so far :)
