The Power of Inner Child Healing: Simple Steps to Rediscover Yourself

A few days ago I saw a tweet saying the Eras Tour by Taylor Swift is helping people reclaim their girlhood and I believe it's also healing the inner child by letting people have fun, make costumes, friendship bracelets, and dance to their favorite songs. That made me think about what I am doing to heal my own inner child, am I taking the necessary steps to do so?

We often neglect our inner child due to our busy lives and thinking that it isn't important.

An unhealed inner child can be a source of emotional pain and healing our inner child is essential to living a healthy life. Healing our inner child allows us to tap into our most authentic selves and feel more connected to our true selves. The inner child represents our innocent, curious, and playful nature.

Reconnecting with and nurturing our inner child can help in healing emotional wounds.

The inner child is often hurt by memories, beliefs, and emotions during childhood that may have been suppressed or dismissed.

So what are some simple daily things I am doing to heal my inner child?

-Allowing myself to be curious, creative, and explore new interests. I wasn't allowed to do so when I was a child, and doing this now is helping me regain my power.

-Playfulness and engaging in activities that bring me joy like dancing and singing.

-Allowing myself to rest and not feeling guilty about it.

-Buying things that I want without the need to explain why I want them.

-Finding healthy ways to express my emotions and thoughts (my blog is one of them and I'm thankful for my lovely readers, without you I wouldn't be here and I wouldn't be able to heal complety).

-Establishing boundaries to protect my inner child from potential harm. That can be ending conversations/connections that make me uncomfortable.

-Developing a positive inner dialogue.

-Validating my emotions and experiences. I won't allow anyone to make me question my own feelings.

When we heal our inner child, we can begin to live a more authentic life and find a greater connection to our true selves.

If you find yourself feeling lonely, disconnected, or anxious, it’s a sign that your inner child needs some TLC.

If you’re struggling to make decisions, or feeling overwhelmed by life, it’s a sign that your inner child needs to be heard.

If you’re feeling stuck in old patterns, it’s a sign that you need to do some inner child work.

With some simple daily practices, you can begin to reconnect with your inner child and give yourself a chance to heal.
