Yoga for Trauma Release: Transforming Pain into Power

In this post I'm going to dive into a topic that has been immensely transformative in my personal journey: using yoga to release stored trauma in my body.

Many people carry the weight of past traumas, yet we often overlook how these experiences manifest in our bodies, and get stored into our muscles and deep tissues.

Trauma can deeply embed itself within us, causing physical tension, and even impacting our overall health.

When we go through distressing events, our nervous system goes into overdrive, and this floods our bodies with stress hormones, if we are unable to fully process these intense emotions, our bodies tend to bottle them up.

That's why I'm using yoga, a beautiful combination of movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, to guide me toward releasing those stored traumas.

One of the best yoga sessions that I'm using to release trauma is titled 45 min Full Body Yoga Class For Strength & Flexibility | All Levels | Slow Flow.

This class helps me create space to process those stagnant and unprocessed emotions and build a more balanced and stable connection between my body, mind, and soul.

The yoga session includes poses like a high lunge, humble Warrior, triangle, side angle, pigeon pose, happy baby, and reclined twists.

Yoga can help in your wellbeing and you can choose the class that works best for you.

Dealing with trauma is an ongoing process, it can be a bumpy journey and It takes time, and a lot of patience.

Listen to your body and know what it needs to heal, it can be a short walk, dancing, swimming, or anything that you feel called to do.

I'm sharing my own journey and I hope you can find something in it to inspire or help you.

With love and light,

Dalia
