Our thoughts have a powerful effect on us, but how much influence do they really have on our reality, how we experience the world, and how people treat us?
When we think positively, we send out an energy that we’re open to good things, we become like magnets to good things. How can we do this? I struggled with negative thinking for a long time and I'm working on changing that.
Examples:
-It's okay if my favorite coffee shop is full, it means I can explore and find new places that could be more suitable for me.
-My favorite parking spot is occupied, I can use it as a chance to park a bit far and enjoy a short walk.
-I couldn't find a product that I'm used to (like shampoo), I can search for more effective products that might work better for me.
These examples of positive thoughts might seem small but they have a domino effect on our reality. They can also help in training our minds to focus on the good.
On the other hand, focusing on what could go wrong can lead to a downward spiral of pessimism and make us feel like the world is against us.
Examples:
-The outfit I was planning to wear today turned out to be in the laundry, and now I can't find anything to wear (despite having a closet full of better outfits).
-Someone was rude to me online, and now I won't ever post my thoughts again and isolate myself.
-My hair isn't cooperating today, so I will stay home and not spend time with a friend (who won't even notice that my hair doesn't look nice).
The negative thoughts above might also seem small but they can have a major impact on our wellbeing.
They can ruin our mood, how we treat ourselves, and how we deal with other events we might face later.
Small changes in our way of thinking can have a massive influence on our reality.
By consciously directing our thoughts towards the positive, we have the power to shape a more optimistic reality for ourselves.
While we cannot always control the events that unfold, we can control how we perceive and react to them.
Cultivating a positive mindset enables us to approach obstacles (small or big) with resilience.
Our thoughts act as a magnet, attracting like-minded individuals and positive experiences.
Appreciating the good things in life and finding joy in the little things can shape our reality.
Letting every inconvenience stop us and hold our progress, isn't helpful in any way.
I know it's easier said than done, and personally, I struggle with it daily, but I'm actively working on it and seeing improvements
I went to bed at 3 a.m. yesterday with heavy thoughts like "I won't blog again, I won't post anything online, I will shut down my phone, I give up on Yoga, etc".
It was basically an attack of negative thoughts and it made me wake up with a sore body and headache.
A couple of hours later, I pushed myself to retweet a few things and do 20 minutes yoga flow.
These two steps pulled me out of this negative trap and now I'm posting on my blog and later will do a self-care routine.
This is how one thought of "don't give up" changed my reality today.
How do you think my reality would look like today if I gave up? the answer is: on my couch, with body aches and a headache.
The most important step you can take is to Identify negative triggers around you, such as certain people, news sources, or social media accounts.
Minimize exposure to these triggers as much as possible.
By consciously focusing on positive thoughts, we can shape a more positive reality and attract positive people and experiences into our lives.
I hope this post helps you shape a better reality! please share it with your friends who might need a boost today.
