Heartbreak made me feel like I have lost my spark and there are steps that I'm taking to find my spark again that might help you if you're going through the same thing.
-Self-care: Taking time to pamper myself and do things that make me feel good. Whether it's my daily night walk or taking a long bath! I focus on doing things that make me feel at peace. There are days that I feel like "I can't do this" These are the days that I really push myself to do something for me.
-Mindfulness: Becoming more aware of my thoughts and feelings so I can recognize when I'm stuck in a negative pattern. I try to switch the cruel thoughts to kind ones like when I think of "I wasn't enough" I change it to "I'm enough and my worth isn't determined by my heartbreak".
-Support system: Having someone to talk to in times of need is very helpful and I'm thankful for my best friend for being here for me. You don't need a large group of friends, you just need real friends.
-A creative outlet: Doing something creative to express my emotions is helping me find my spark again. Blogging plays this role for me. Being able to write about different topics makes me feel seen and heard. It makes me feel like my opinions matter. That I matter despite feeling otherwise for a long time. I'm grateful for my lovely readers and I'm thankful for having this blog. I also tweet funny stuff and that's helping me to connect with my sense of humor. Creativity is helping me feel more connected to myself.
-Accepting what happened: I give myself permission to feel the pain associated with the loss. By acknowledging my emotions, I create space for healing. Allowing myself to process the heartbreak healthily. Not avoiding it. Not ignoring it. Not denying it.
-Listening to music: Finding fun playlists on Spotify or YouTube never fails to boost my mood.
-Learning new things: I'm improving my French and I'm starting to learn Spanish, also I'm always working on improving my English. Learning new things can play a major role in finding your spark. Personally, it empowers me.
-Crying: I found myself a few days ago crying when I was on my night walk, I felt free after that. Somehow these tears represented the sadness leaving my heart.
Finding one's spark again after heartbreak can be a difficult journey. It's a process that involves embracing pain, rediscovering passions, and practicing self-care. I hope this blog post can guide you on the path of healing.
