I love taking detox baths, they help me physically, mentally, and spiritually. They ease any muscle tension and they're very good for my skin and hair.
Don't fall asleep in the bathtub, as detox baths can be very relaxing, they make me so sleepy! Don't take a detox bath except in your free time. Get ready to have a nap after it or a good night's sleep.
Detox baths help our bodies eliminate toxins, reduce stress, and improve our overall well-being. When toxins build up in our bodies, they can cause a lot of physical problems, such as fatigue, headaches, and skin problems.
The amount of time you should stay in a detox bath depends on your needs, the recommendation is to spend 20 minutes. However, if you start feeling lightheaded, dizzy, or uncomfortable, it is best to end the bath session.
I try to take a detox bath 2 or 3 times a week, but listen to your body and adjust the frequency as needed.
Many herbs can be used to create the perfect detox bath. Some of the most popular herbs used include lavender, rosemary, and chamomile.
I also add sea salt (not a lot so it doesn't hurt my eyes), black seed, a few cloves, peppermint powder, and ginger powder. Just make sure you’re not allergic to any of the herbs and you can add just one herb. Do what works for you.
I brew the herbs in boiling water, allow it to steep for around 15-20 minutes, strain it, and add the herb-infused water to the bathwater.
I don't add anything that has chemicals in this detox bath.
With regular detox baths, you can help your body achieve optimal health and wellness.
Note that while detox baths can offer many benefits, they are not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before incorporating detox baths into your routine.
