I'm excited to share with you my lovely readers the second week of my month-long morning yoga journey with Bird to welcome 2024. Choosing this challenge to start this year was the best decision that I made and I hope you stay with me through this process.
13 Min Energizing Morning Yoga Refresh (DAY 9)
This refreshing yoga class starts standing with knocking on heaven's door, which is really fun, then it transitions to floor yoga with Boat pose, and the teacher did a wonderful job guiding this transition. Other poses include spinal twists and knees to chest.
15 Min Morning Yoga To FEEL YOUR BEST! (DAY 10)
This yoga session also starts standing but only for a short part of the entire class then it transitions to low on the ground poses including puppy pose and variation of child pose.
I used to usually skip the shavasana pose but the yoga teacher explained its importance as "nutrition for the soul" and honestly I felt its value in this challenge.
7 Min Morning Yoga Full Body Stretch (DAY 11)
The yoga teacher starts the session with a big stretch on the floor then happy baby pose. This class is super relaxing and I'm going to repeat it on those days when I'm not feeling 100% but don't want to skip yoga.
5 Minute Morning Yoga Miracle (DAY 12)
We start this yoga practice with child pose and the teacher focuses on the importance of slow inhales and slow exhales. There's one downward-facing dog at the end of the session. In my opinion, this class could also be used as a break from work or studies or sitting on your couch watching tv.
Morning Yoga UNDER 5! Yoga for Busy People (DAY 13)
It's the perfect session for people with a really busy schedule, I noticed at the beginning of this class that the seated feet stretches became easier for me, the yoga teacher encourages us to do the movements that our bodies call us to do and I had a lot of fun with that :)
5 Min Morning Yoga RECHARGE
This yoga session truly recharged me mentally and physically, I was feeling drained and down and this short and quick class changed this for me.
7 Minute Morning Yoga Stretch (DAY 15)
I enjoyed the neck and side stretches at the start of this yoga session but the long child pose at the end was so much needed for me.
Taking time for myself each morning to do this yoga challenge is a huge step for me in prioritizing self-care and nurturing my physical and mental health. Please give yourself this chance to set a positive tone for the rest of the day ahead. You can find refreshing stretches and calming poses in this yoga series.
