We get caught up in our own personal lives and problems, to the point many of us turn a blind eye to important causes and issues that are shaping the world.
When we avoid seeing the truth about these causes, it doesn’t mean they will stop existing. It only means that we won’t be able to help the world.
It is understandable why we might want to avoid confronting the harsh realities of the world. It can be overwhelming and emotionally draining to see the suffering and injustices that exist.
We might also feel powerless and believe our actions won’t make a difference. However, avoiding these important causes will only perpetuate the problems and hinder any progress towards a better world.
It is comfortable to brush these issues aside and go about our day-to-day lives.
Avoiding the truth about important causes in the world may seem like the easier option in the short term, but in the long run, it only hinders progress and creates more problems.
We are all interconnected and the actions we take, or don’t take, can have a ripple effect on the world around us. That is why it is important to acknowledge the harsh realities of the world and not shy away from important causes.
