Eclipse Season Guide: What to Expect and How to Prepare

Ready or not the eclipse season is here! Starting with a penumbral lunar eclipse on March 25, and ending with a total solar eclipse on April 8.

Eclipses can bring intense energy, so knowing how to deal with the eclipse season and protect ourselves mentally and emotionally is important.

Understanding Eclipses:

They occur when the moon, Earth, and sun align in a specific way, creating a shadow effect on the moon (lunar eclipse) or the sun (solar eclipse).

This alignment of cosmic forces might have a profound effect on our lives, as they are believed to bring shifts in energy.

Eclipses are also known to have a powerful impact on our emotions, making us feel more sensitive and vulnerable.

Each eclipse, whether lunar or solar, has its unique impact on us and can be a force that pushes us out of our comfort zones. Lunar eclipses are associated with closures and emotional release. Solar eclipses, on the other hand, are about new opportunities, and fresh starts.

First Eclipse Season of 2024:

The penumbral lunar eclipse on March 25 will happen during the full moon in Libra, known for its focus on relationships and balance. It occurs when the moon passes through the outer shadow of the earth, creating a faint shade that is often difficult to detect with the naked eye. But do not let its subtle appearance trick you, it can be very intense.

This eclipse may be forcing us to confront any imbalances or issues that should be addressed in our connections.

It can also bring about a need for self-reflection and finding a balance between our personal needs and the needs of others.

The total solar eclipse on April 8, occurring during the new moon in Aries, will bring a strong energy of new beginnings and transformation.

Aries is a sign known for its assertiveness and determination, so this eclipse may push us to take action and make bold changes in our lives. It can also bring about a release of old patterns and a new sense of self-identity.

Total solar eclipses are rare, and often viewed as announcers of change, and with it happening in the fiery sign of Aries, it will ignite our passions and drive us towards new beginnings and opportunities.

So, how can we deal with the intensity of the eclipse season and protect ourselves mentally and emotionally? Here are a few tips:

- Be aware of your emotions:

As I mentioned earlier, eclipses can heighten our emotions, making us feel more sensitive and reactive. Be aware of what you are feeling and allow yourself to process those emotions. Do not suppress them, but also do not let them control you.

- Stay grounded:

During this time, do what you can to stay grounded and connected to your body. Practice activities such as yoga, meditation, or simply going for a walk to help you stay centered and calm. Whatever you do to "disconnect" even just conscious breathing will be helpful.

- Reflect and release:

Eclipses are a powerful time for reflection and releasing what no longer serves us. Take this opportunity to let go of any negative patterns, behaviors, or anything that is holding you back from your goals and full potential.

- Protect your energy:

With the intense energy of eclipses, protect your own energy. Set boundaries and do not be afraid to say no to things that drain you. Step away from energy vampires.

- Embrace change:

Eclipses bring about change and transformation. Instead of resisting it, embrace it and trust that it is leading you toward growth and evolution. Be open to new opportunities and possibilities that may come your way.

The eclipse season of 2024 is here and it is a powerful time for growth and transformation. By being aware of your energy during each eclipse, you can navigate this season safely and you can have some fun with it too.
